In a statement here, the Word Of Mouth Marketing Association (WOMMA) indicates it is reviewing Edelman’s membership in the organization due to revelations that the PR firm was behind a series of flogs.

One of the things that I disliked about WOMMA was that I didn’t think it would take appropriate action to distance itself from activities like the ones that got Edelman in trouble.  I see that it now appears to be taking things seriously.

I really hope this is a serious review and not simply a symbolic slap on the wrist.
