I promised I'd update folks on what I've seen with regard to who's getting searched at Penn Station, but I want to gather more data. But I didn't see the search station during last night's trip through Penn, nor did I see it this morning. Dunno if this has gone away or if the police are moving the station around to areas of Penn I haven't walked through. But I'm still on the lookout for it. Stay tuned.
Perhaps I was being too optimistic. The bluefish were really biting on Memorial Day weekend, but I spent four hours at the same spot on Saturday morning and got nothing. Tried everything - Hopkins lures, spoons, rubber shads, something called a "Deadly Dick," even something called a "Shorty" and didn't even get a nibble.
So last night I'm having a light meal with some friends over at Luna Park and we're all sitting around one of the tables when I see something dart out of the corner and head under my table. At first I thought it was a frightened stray cat, but as the brown shape hurried its way to the other side of the outdoor patio, I could see it was a rat. Ewww.... (shudder)
