Next Target: Obama?

Seems like a lot of right wing blogs are getting the idea that Barack Obama oughtta be slammed for his comments concerning Abraham Lincoln in this AP story. I was taught in elementary school that Lincoln was motivated by a need for Union victory in the Civil War, not by moral convictions. I was also taught that the Emancipation Proclamation didn't free ALL the slaves, just the ones in the states actively rebelling against the Union. What were you taught?
